Vengeance for my slain self,
A "me" that passed on.
Pools of blood about the altar call,
"Look at what you've done!"

Curses! And blasphemy!
My tics betray my poise.
Can't stop fidgeting, shaking.
My facade crumbling, I waver.
My costume, mask, melt away.
Raw emotion betrays me.
I give it all away.
Naked. Nowhere left to hide.
The scarred poet goddess revealed.
Radiant; in all my unholy glory.
Here I am. This is me.
Hand out your scrutiny, your praise.

trying to keep ourselves from the outside
