Associated Content (AC) is booming and many writers are being encouraged to utilize the website for their articles to be published and get paid in return. The breakthrough in giving out monetary compensation is a way for these websites to attract more publishers that would be the main reason for the company to get going.
Unlike other websites where publishers could provide their outputs, Associated Content focus more on quality of contents submitted through stringent processes that these submissions need to go through before getting published in the website. AC also offers good earning potential for all its writers, thus, more people are now working hand-in-hand with the company.
Here are some of the pros and cons that I have seen as I review the company.
PROS
Writer can remain anonymous
Just like Helium, a writer may opt to be anonymous in AC. If Helium uses pen name, AC uses the by line field in a member's profile and this is the one that would be published together with the articles submitted by the writer. However, AC still encourages all its publishers to use their real names since company partners of AC require professional names for the contents. The reason behind the use of real names is also because there is a greater potential for the work to be published and distributed if the writer uses his real name.
Offers more projects to publishers
AC gives its publishers the option to choose the exclusivity of their submissions. Three options are given to publishers once they want to publish the contents. If you choose exclusive submission, you are giving AC full rights in publishing your articles. This means that you cannot re-publish your content in any other form in any other website. However this would give you the highest possibility of earning from your submission.
The second option is the non-exclusive submission. The benefit of this is that you can maximize your earning potential while you still have the rights to republish your content to other site including your very own blog site. The third option would be helpful for those articles that had been previously published elsewhere called the Display-Only submission. The draw-back with this type of submission, however, is that you would only get paid through Performance Payment which means your earning potential would be that good.
Quality of articles is preserved
Articles in AC are more likely of good quality because submitted articles have to go through AC editors. Unlike other websites where your articles
