Johnny Depp's I knew this would cinematic magic! He really nailed the dry humor madman known as Sweeney Todd. Not to mention he sold me on his well rounded talent as musician and singer.

#2: Sam - Benny & Joon - Quirky and comically talented Sam has just been bet off in a poker game to Joon, a mentally ill woman. Benny, her brother, reluctantly allows Sam to move in as their housekeeper. Joon soon falls for him. It sends an emotional tug to anyone watching it, but leaves you with a smile.

#1: Edward Scissorhands - Edward Scissorhands - Perhaps it is not his most treasured or beloved film, but on my list it makes my #1. Mostly because it was my first Johnny Depp movie to watch. It was the first time I got to fall in love with a character of his. Edward is a character that can be sympathized with and understood, maybe even identified with. Because of this movie I was sold on any future Depp movie/masterpiece.

There you have it, my top 10! Honorable mentions include: Finding Neverland, Nightmare on Elm Street, Cry-baby, Ed Wood, and Sleepy Hollow. Any Johnny Depp movie is worth seeing, even if it is just to look through the eyes of an actor who takes every character he plays seriously. He really dives into his work, and is someone I will always trust he will put his all into his work.
