Our life stories
I found a story neglected by
The waiting endless flow of time
I picked it up and went along
And found the place where I belong
The pages brittle yellow old
Would break in two if made to fold
The cover torn the spine would break
It held one final tale to make
As I dived in and turned each page
The letters seemed to shine and fade
And as the story wove about
The first pages were falling out
A tome of beauty, love and lust
Of friendship true and broken trust
It's final tale was right and just
Now broken it shall fade to dust
I found a story neglected by
The waiting endless flow of time
Of love and truth carried with me
Though lost to all will always be

Gathering dust.
They sing to me
Sad songs,
