How to convince your partner not to break up

by Juniper Shea

Convincing your partner/spouse to not break up with you, can be a difficult task. Though you may feel that the relationship should go on, it can be hard realizing the relationship is at it's end. Letting go is the best form, in getting over your past partner/spouse. Perhaps moving on may prove to be hard for you, it's with moving on from your past you can move forward in life.

Convincing your partner/spouse to stay with you is harmful for you and your partner/spouse. If you feel there is something that can be done to save your relationship then communicating your wants, beliefs and fears with your partner can help improve and possibly save your relationship. When it comes to convincing your partner/spouse to stay, communicating with them is basically the only way to go.

If immoral actions come into play, when you try to convince your partner/spouse to stay this can come back in a most undesirable way. Meaning, it can lead to an eventual break up which was what you were trying to avoid in the first place. Knowing that a good relationship is built on trust and communication can prepare you for fixing issues. Forcing a person to stay with you is honestly the wrong way to go.

When it comes to any sort of relationship you may find yourself in, knowing when to let go is an important part in moving on. Holding on to a doomed relationship is mostly harmful for yourself although it's also harmful for your partner/spouse. No matter what the situation may be for breaking up, it's with communication that you could possibly resolve the issue.

In any case, convincing your partner/spouse to stay shouldn't be over done. There is a fine line between convincing your partner/spouse to stay and begging your partner/spouse to not break up. Neither one is truly healthy for you although begging is a desperate sign, showing you are dependent of them and this also is not healthy for you.

When it comes to any sort of relationship, breaking up is the worst part. All through your relationship practicing good communication skills with your partner/spouse can avoid a terrible break up; though when it's time to let go, it's time to move on. Knowing when the relationship is done is a healing aspect to breaking up. It's most reassuring knowing the relationship would be over and would have gone no where. It's with in yourself that you can accept a solution or convince a solution to take place, either way it's with good communication that you can succeed in either one.
