There is a form out there that has been circulating for a few years now and that form is a needle called Depo provera or more commonly called Depo. This needle is only needed every three months and is the most effective form if you are sexually active. Many women go ahead and jump at the chance because they say that you may not experience your normal periods while on the needle.

There are so many horror stories out there about this needle, and is seems like everyone who has used it does have something bad to say about it. The side effects are very brutal and most do occur. If your a person trying to loose weight or have history of depression please do not consider this form of birth control. The weight gain is different in many women but it does happen and from some of the stories I have read some women have gained up to 50 lbs while taking depo. If you are planning to take if for a few months and then try and have children right after this needle is no good for you. It can take you six months and longer to get pregnant after you have stopped your depo shots. As I said the side effects are there and they do happen to most women. It is not the best thing out there. The pill has been around for years also and I have never seen side effects so severe as these.
