The joy of making your own jewelry

by peterpan

Fashion and style had been an ever changing part of our lives. The styles that may be hip today may not be the in thing in the next few months. The shirt that may have been one of your favorites this year may just be stocked in the cabinet in the following year. However, one of the things that would really last when it come to fashion are jewelries. The jewelries passed to you by your great grandparents would even be more valuable that the rest of the jewelries out there in the market.

Wearing jewelries had been one of the fashion statements that celebrities and even normal citizens live by. It ranges from glittering diamonds that costs thousands of dollars to simple beads with beautiful designs with prices just right to your pocket. A lot of designs are available that you can choose from. However, the artistic nature in each one of us gives us the right to personalize these jewelries. Making your own jewelry would mean a lot more than those expensive ones.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED

I remember when I was in grade school and it was popular among the students to make their own bracelets from nylon strings. The popularity had been so much savored by the children including me that I even dyed the nylons I use to create bracelets with different colors so that I could wear a different one each day. The reason behind my eagerness in creating my own jewelry designs was more of satisfaction. I was satisfied with the outcome so I don't have anyone to blame for the output but me.

When you make your own jewelries, of course, you will make it to be the ones that would satisfy you. You would feel the fulfillment that you had made something from your artistic mind and that you could show it off to the whole world and you can even boast for it. The satisfaction that you would feel would be more than enough and would even be incomparable with wearing the most expensive accessory available in jewelry shops.

PERSONALIZE IT

The designs out in the market may be quite a number but sometimes you would feel as if none of those designs fit your personality. It happens to me a lot of times that I would end up not buying anything from jewelry shops since I cannot choose the one that I feel I would be comfortable wearing it. Making your own jewelry would therefore mean that you would be able to make your own imaginations into reality through the jewelries that you would personally make.

Your jewelry would speak of your personality. This means that it would be better for you to create your very own jewelry because no one else knows what designs you like but yourself. Even the best jeweler may never create any design that would give you satisfaction. Therefore, once you finished a jewelry made by your very own hands, the first person who would appreciate it is the designer, which in this case is you. For sure you would be wearing it everyday and you would be proud enough to tell the whole world of your precious creation.

I always wanted to be different. When I buy clothes, I usually choose the rare to find ones or if not, I would do some alterations on my shirts like adding patches or stitches just to make it look different. It feels awkward to walk in the mall or to go to a party with someone who wears clothes like yours. This goes the same with the jewelry that you wear. It would be best to have jewelries that would stand out from the rest. It would be hassle-free having the thought that you are 100% sure that no one wears the same accessories as yours.

KEEP YOURSELF BUSY

A lot of times you may have nothing to do with your life. After school or after work, you may be bored to death of not having anything to do during those spare moments. Making jewelry as a hobby is a very good way for you to keep those hands moving and to keep your artistic mind working.

Making jewelry could also be a way for you to forget issues that are bothering you. For teenagers and those young at heart, why don't you go out and buy the raw materials for jewelry making than bore yourself to death crying over a person who broke your heart? For those kids who feel being deprived with time by their parents, why don't you make personalized jewelries on your spare time and give them to your parents to remind them that you need their love and care?

CHEAPER

If those jewelries from the shops and from the malls would cost you a lot of money, then, why not make your own ones. There are a lot of cheap beads, crystals, and some other designs to make your jewelry look fabulous. A lot of Chinese stores offer these raw materials at a very low prize so you won't need to be spending hundred of dollars for these precious accessories that you yourself can make.

Try checking out some websites that offer tutorials on jewelry making. For sure you will save lots and lots of money that you could still use to buy clothes or to treat your friends and family. One thing I really like about making my own accessories is the fact that I can save a lot from it.

EARN MONEY

It's not all about saving. After making the best jewelry suited for your lifestyle and after all the satisfaction you have, a lot of people would notice how beautiful your creation is. This means that your hobby and your enjoyment in making your own jewelry could expand and you could then share your very own jewelries to your friends.

At first, you may just be making some of these accessories for your close friends but the news would spread like fire and the designs would really be appreciated by many others. This admiration that some people would have towards your creations could make them ask for orders. This would mean a lot of money if orders would keep coming as the word of mouth regarding your artistically designed jewelries spreads.

There is really joy in making your own jewelry. The satisfaction could never be paid especially when your product is well appreciated by many people. Most of all, you do not need much effort to get started. You just need to ignite your artistic desires and start those hands moving to make you create your very own jewelry.
