Ways to save money on gas

We all live in a society ravaged by high prices. Each week we get paid by our employer and what happens? Out comes the rent or mortgage payment, the gas and electricity bills, the phone and or mobile phone bills. Then we have the internet fees, that seem to be a necessity in most homes today. Pay television has become popular in the last 10 or so years and that has to be paid for.

Then it is time to shop for the food for the week. Do you notice like I do that each week you are getting less for your money because the prices are going up? How long are we going to be able to purchase proper food for our families at the rate it is going up? Are we to end up like those in the third world, unable even to purchase a loaf of bread because we cannot afford it. And what excuse do the Government feed us as to the reason for such price rises?

They will tell us it is the rising cost of fuel and the transportation costs of importing or transporting the produce to your shop for your convenience. Just take a look at the news and the price of oil has peaked at $123 odd per barrel, and they tell us that due to the increasing usage by countries such as China and India, they can't keep up with the demand for the rest of the world. So what's their answer to that? Why raise the price of course. And that feeds down to you and I as the consumer as we have to pay the higher food prices in the shops to accommodate for all these expenses.

Of course if you run a vehicle, or two, you will know the running costs associated with that. Not only the registration and mechanical bills, but by far the most expensive commodity in any vehicle is the fuel used to run it. While the price at the bowser is around the $1.50 mark, and maybe higher in other areas, it is tipped to be around the $3.00 mark by 2010. Can we still afford to run our vehicles on such prices?

As a result of all these things put together, we see the sad reality today where people are losing the so-called dream homes they have worked so hard to purchase. Marriages are breaking up and in the worst cases some have and are committing suicide because they can no longer handle the pressures.

This is not mere fantasy or something for me to write to scare you into purchasing a product from me, it is a hard fact of today's society, and you can bet that it is not going to get any better.

What of our children, if we have any? Or our grandchildren? What are they going to have to do to survive when they get older?
