Recipes: Chocolate chip cookies

If a chocolate chip cookie can be healthy, this is it. I like to make these cookies the night before an early morning event like the annual Hot-air Balloon launch here in our town. We get up early and not quite ready for breakfast, but an hour or so later as we are sitting on our blanket or riding in our car, these cookies taste so good and fill you up too.

Cafe Fanny's Breakfast Cookies

Notes: Better than a pop tart when you're on the go.

1/2 Cups White Sugar
1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
1 Cup Butter
2 Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla
3/4 Cups White Flour
3/4 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda
2 Cups Granola With Or Without Raisins
1 Cups Regular, (not Instant) Rolled Oats
1 1/2 Cups Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs on at a time, then add vanilla. Stir in flours and rest of dry ingredients. Place large spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes.
