" In happiness and sorrow ...till death do us apart " the universal marriage vow is given much respect . However , in reality , this vow seems to be difficult to sustain as man and wife go through several tests in their marriage and family life which determine their fidelity and chastity to their marriage. Given the accelerating rate of divorces around the world today , it is necessary to explore the path that can lead couples to a long lasting marriage . The tips are as suggested :

1. Respect your marriage partner i.e. spouse
2. Respect each other's interests and views .
3. There should never be a WIN LOSE argument as marriage is not a business transaction .
4. Pampher each other whenever necessary to wipe away all the external issues that could affect their marriage.
5. Make a genuine attempt to know more about your spouse and appreciate any potential or unknown talents in him or her and help him unveil his/her potential
6.Appreciate and appraise each other's skills or achievements etc so that each finds a good listener in each other and fairness in judgement .
7.Express and not suppress your love for each other .
8.Share each other's joy and sorrow pleasures and problems so that the bond is strengthened .
9.Occupy your free time by doing social welfare deeds together which will help you to work together and reach out to others together.
10.participate actively in constructive arguments and decision making so that each can understand each other better .
11.Be honest , loyal and truthful at all times to each other otherwise the 'forget and forgive' mind set can never be actualised .
12.Give each other a warm pleasant surprise once in a while especially in stressful times to ease off the pain of either one of the partners.
13.Spend time together in travelling and any other activity that normally one does not get to do due to hectic office schedules . This will relax each other and enrich the relationship.
14.Discuss problems and issues and brainstorm solutions as it would give lots of opportuntities to appreciate and understand each other better .
15.Do not take each other for granted and try to enslave each other thus losing one's individuality .
16. It is healthy to practise detached attachment whenever posssible as this would also make one appreciate the other better .
17.Be the immense pillar of support to each other at all times so that each can turn to each other for moral support and regain your inner strength which will help one to achieve hia or her goals in life .
18.Open up one's heart to the other whenever necessary so that marital issues can be smoothly resolved .
19.Never withhold any important information to life partner as this would only worsen the relationship
20.Cherish each other's goodness at all times as nobody is perfect in life . If both keep on fault finding each other then the negative energy will only widen the gap between the couple.Instead , the couple must help each other to minimise their negative qualities from engulfing their positive qualities.

* Last but not least , TRUE LOVE which is never stained by any materialistic motives but rich in love for each other without any expectation of reward or reciprocation will always sustain and enrich a marriage at any cost !.
