At the risk of appearing arrogant, there are few people, at least in our society, I admire. I find the vast majority of Americans to be highly self-absorbed, with little concern for few people, other than their family members, if them. We are encouraged to indulge ourselves in far too much of everything non-lethal, that only serve to promote self-gratification. Still, I have met some people I admire, but the one I feel deserves my written recognition is my personal physician.
He shall remain nameless, for a variety of reasons. Of most immediate concern is that I don't have his permission to publicly identify him, but I don't think his permission would be at the root of his desire to remain anonymous. My doctor is a quiet, unassuming man of God and, as such, he recognizes that, according to Christian Scriptures, his acts of charity are to remain anonymous. Trust the following. He is a highly spiritual being, who demonstrates through his actions, that he genuinely cares about the welfare of others.
He is doing the work Jesus Christ asks all his followers to undertake. I should know. He's performed works of mercy for me, time and time again.

This alone puts him in a very, and I mean very, exclusive class of health practitioners. However, there's much more. This consummate professional spends as much time with each patient, as is necessary. If he owns a watch, I've never seen him visually reference it. Whether I need 15 minutes or 50, he listens and advises patiently, until all bases have been covered. No exceptions. Do others sometime have to wait longer than they might choose otherwise? Yes, they do, but they can rest assured he will treat them in like fashion.
As politically incorrect as this might seem, I'm not a big fan of affluent people of European heritage. As a former junior high school Social Sciences' teacher, I made a great effort to, shall we say, separate the wheat from the chaff, regarding this nation's history. Since the early 17th Century, and in support of the commonly held belief in Manifest Destiny, European-Americans have pillaged, plundered, broken agreements and stolen the property of others, in the most reprehensible of ways. And the woefully
