The Elements of Love
Love can be
as life sustaining
as the air we breathe
but how sometimes it may suffocate us
as passionate and
furious as fire
it certainly can burn us
as mysterious and
changing as water
it can take on so many forms

as nurturing as Earth
plant a seed and
watch love grow
unless the ground is polluted
Oh how love can
resemble the elements
both the good and bad
nature always seeks a balance

I'm trying to just forget
