To Melanie
Fervent footsteps to a prism of light,
Lighting my future; kaleidoscope bright.
My palette is coloured with the love that I hold,
Exciting - my future, dazzling and bold.
Thrilled to step further into life's mad affray,
The patterns of hope, light yesterday's grey.
His hands hold mine, my heavenly guide,
He is with me from time's other side.
Dancing with me into the next years,
Shining his hope through yesterday's tears.
Lighting the way, he's my northern star,
His love carries my heart - He is never far.
I'm all that I am, and all I can be,
Golden horizon, through my viewer I see!
Turning the dial, the patterns change,
How exciting! Each new day re-arranged.
Looking ahead, with my head held high,
Running forward under the watch of the sky.
Trekking with me along tomorrow's path,
He lightens my future, with memory's laugh.

I am not alone, because you are still my sunshine.
My heart is heavy because you
You were the one who made the coffee in the mornings,
As we'd sit and share the sunrise,
You always made me laugh when
Goodbye
It was her last day on earth
And he could not say goodbye;
Instead he looked through the window
Trying valiantly not
