We, as humans, cannot always understand how our bodies work. Mystical and amazing things happen everyday of our lives. The fact that Thomas is to be the first ever pregnant man, is prof enough. God created our bodies to be in his image, so if that is it not possible that God also wanted men to share the joy and hardship of giving birth through actual experience?
Though Thomas was naturally born as a girl, he is now to be considered a man because of the body parts that he now has. The fact that he choice to keep his womb when undergoing the changing process, should have no say in the matter. All that matters is that the child and future possible children that this man wants to have with his wife are healthy, even if they are born from Thomas himself. It is the child's safety and environment that is important, not the way it was born and raised.
If one goes online and reads certain stories, aka fanfiction, fiction novels, or mangas, that person can see that there are many people out there in the world that have the insight and imagination that male pregnancies may be possible. Though many know that it might not ever happen unless evolution or God wishes it to be, they still want others to read what they have to say on the topic. One never knows what might happen with the right prayers, genes, and faith. I feel that God might, if he chooses it to be, let men and women really be equal and let more men be pregnant.
Does anyone know that between a male sea horse and a female sea horse, the male sea horse is actually the one who gives birth to their children? Yes the female lays the eggs and gives them to the male but the children come out of the male's pouch and probably see him first? What I am trying to say, is that it does not matter how, when, why, or who by the child was from, as long as the child comes into the world healthy and loved by its family, nothing else should matter. Not even the fact that a man gave birth to said child. Thomas most be going through a lot of drama if people only care that it was a man giving birth, not a woman, and not caring that a new life has been brought into this hectic world of ours.
I loved Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1994's movie "Junior." The main thing that grasped my attention to that movie was the fact that a famous "male" actor made the role of a male scientist becoming pregnant to prove a point. The point being that even if it is with the help of science, if one works hard at it, the knowledge and the process of it, a man might be successfully pregnant, carry the baby to term, deliver said baby, and have a healthy and stable environment for that baby.
To close this article, I would like to say that to Thomas, congratulations on becoming the first man in known history to ever become pregnant. You are the perfect example to all men out there in the world that it does not matter whether one is born male or female, a man can become pregnant, be happy with their lives and family, and to being one step closer to complete equality with women. Men and women are not entirely equal yet and this a step towards that goal, so Thomas, thank you, again congratulations on your pregnancy and hope there are more to come your way, and I hope everything works out for you and your new family. Stay happy.
