Poetry: Motherhood

This woman has borne our children
and worked hard to raise them right.
She never ever gives up,
and understands their every plight.

She makes sure they understand
what's important to us all.
She loves unconditionally
and will always be there to call.

I love her tender heart,
her unrelenting belief,
I will always continue to admire
her ability to provide relief.

Our children are now getting older,
yet do continue still
to need her loving care
and an occasional meal.

I think my wife, their mother
will always be the one
that our children go to talk to
if ever they are down.

The kids and I appreciate
all the little things she does.
Even if we sometimes forget
to show her we support her cause.
