"God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!"
Dictionary.com's number one definition for marriage:
1. the social institution under which a MAN and WOMAN establish their decision to live as husband and wife by legal commitments, religious ceremonies, etc.
As you have read, the definition states that marriage is basically when a MAN and a WOMAN decide to legally establish their decision of spending the their lives together as husband and wife. However, nowhere in that definition does it relate to a man and a man, or a woman and a woman, which would be defined as homosexuality.
From the earliest of times, it was man's natural instinct to seek out a woman to provide for, love, protect, start a family with, to live their entire life with, and to nurture their offspring to undergo the same cycle. It has always been the popular and sacred belief that this spending of precious life with one another should be kept to the binding of a man and a woman in holy matrimony, and that anything other than this proposal would be completely absurd. However, in recent years, this "absurdity" has become one of the most controversial issues that is constantly argued over throughout our nation, and certainly the world, whether it be in politics or religious practices.
In the religious viewpoint, faithful individuals will pull out many verses in the bible that declare the ancient and soulful binding of a man and a woman as the way God has meant marriage to be. This declaration can be supported with the creation of Adam and Eve. Every faithful christian believes that Eve was created by God taking out a rib from Adam and forming a companion for him with it. This means, in the biblical standpoint, that Men and Women were meant to be companions.
Also, our anatomies are staring us in the face. What I mean is that it's obvious that our reproductive organs set us apart as male and female and are meant to be used together as male and female. It is quite impossible without some major surgery to have a baby between two males or two females. Basically, the point behind this is, men and women were made to reproduce together. This cannot naturally occur any other way.
Marriage is a special bond between a man and woman who have spent their lives thus far trying to find each other and receive the gift and curse of marriage with that special someone. It's an establishment that the man of the marriage will protect, care for, provide for, and be with his wife no matter what life throws at them. We all know the wedding vows, marriage should be as close to what they mean as possible for it to be successful.
Sure, we have free will and anyone has a right to any sexuality that they would like, but marriage is supposed to be sacred for ADAM AND EVE (man and woman) NOT ADAM AND STEVE! (homosexual couple)
