I recently read a book that taught me a few things about life and relationships. I have done a lot of thinking on the subject myself being single and wanting someone in my life and the conclusion I have come to is that "Men marry B*es, by that I do not mean angry, rude or spiteful women. I mean that they marry independent women, women who have their own lives, women who are not desperate to find love. Men marry women who can hold their own and have interests they enjoy on their own as well as with others.

Today as women we find it difficult to find 'love' we feel inadequate in the shadow of the supermodels we see on T.V. We feel the need to seek out love at all cost. Many of us compromise ourselves in the search. I have done this and so have many others. You meet a guy that you really like and suddenly you find yourself listening to every band that he mentions or reading the kind of books he likes, anything to make him think it is meant to be. When in reality no man wants a 'yes dear' wife they want a woman they can learn from and that they too can teach. They want someone who is just as happy on their own as they are with them. They want the challenge of the chase. They want the satisfaction of knowing that they won you. Not that you are a prize or a trophy, but it makes them feel as if they accomplished something, as do we as women. How many times have you met a sweet guy who really really likes you but you just don't feel it? It is because it is to easy. We thrive on competition and we seek out that which we find challenging. So in reality if you want someone I am not telling you to ignore them but be yourself, keep your life and watch what happens.
