Once you have found the perfect dress, theres one other necessity that goes hand in hand : perfect shoes! Most girls fret about shoe shopping, and finding the perfect shoe just as much as finding that special dress. Make it easy on yourself and think of a few options when shoe shopping. These hints should help you narrow down your shoe selection, save you a lot of money, and you will have perfect and functional shoes that many times can be worn again after the big dance.

Take your dress with you while shoe shopping, don't just guess on the perfect color and shoe style. That way, your shoes will match for sure. Pick a style that compliments your dress perfectly. If you're wanting shoes color matched to your dress, have the shoe store help you to find that perfect color, or even consider dying your shoes. Also with some dresses, a black, silver, or white shoe looks perfect. Shoes in basic colors are a lot easier to find, rather than endlessly searching for the perfect color of shoe.

Keep in mind, if you are tall or short and also the height of your date. If you are taller than your date, you do not want a huge heel. On the other hand, if your date is several inches taller than you are, you can get a bigger heel to break down the height gap. Most girls are really worried about this factor. Just keep a general idea of your prom dates height when shopping, that way you are sure to be the right height for your date.

Comfort is often one thing sacrificed when finding the perfect prom shoe. Usually all you are concerned about is that first look, when walking in to prom, or the first few dances. Usually within a few minutes, all the ladies have taken their shoes off and are dancing barefoot. If your shoes are uncomfortable, buy insoles. They make insoles now just for heels or sandals. If that is not an option, bring along the good ole' trusty flip flops. Its not worth having your feet hurt and blistered just to have a good looking shoe. Go barefoot if you want. Or you can even find a classy flip flop sandal to go perfectly with your dress and style. Wearing flip flop like sandals are a trend that you see more and more at proms and dances.

So if you plan to dance the night away, keep these few tips in mind. People probably will notice you and your dress before they even see your feet! Be comfortable in a shoe that perfectly fits your style. Go simple with a shoe, you don't need an over glamorous shoe to draw attention to you. Just have fun, and go for a shoe that you will get much use out of. Odds are, you will only wear an uncomfortable shoe only one time. Buy a shoe that is worth your money!
