Poetry: Don't ask

by Ciana Parker

Created on: May 10, 2008

Don't ask,
if you don't want to know.
Why do I look sad?
Don't ask.
You really want to know?
Didn't think so.
Why am I always happy?
Because it shields the pain I feel on the inside.
You don't care?
Then don't ask!
I look like I'm crying?
You wouldn't want to know,
so don't ask.
Why are you asking,
if you don't care?
How do I feel?
Crappy.
Why?
Please, don't ask.
You wouldn't care for the answer anyways.
If you don't want to know,
don't ask.
If you don't care,
don't ask.
That's all I ask,
if you really don't want to know,
don't ask.
I get tired of explaining the same things over and over again to people who choose not to care.
I don't care if you don't care.
But if you don't care,
then why ask?
Just don't.
