Poetry: Love expressed

OUR WALK

The sunset meant it was time to go
away from the gleaming lights,
away from them.

You thought the less light that surrounded us
you would be able to see my eyes
and you would laugh.

We came to a bridge rotting in the night;
we chose to cross
and that evening angels could be heard
singing with all their hearts.

As we walked into the night,
your arm holding mine,
felt like we were in Heaven
walking on clouds,
swinging with every little breeze that blew.
