US elections 2008: The appeal of John McCain

Imagine a Presidential candidate that there is no dirt to throw on. The American people have wanted this for as long as I can remember, and I'm putting on the years. At the beginning of the 2008 campaign everyone thought this candidate was Senator Barack Obama, but the ceiling has caved in. Dirt is falling on, and around him. From William Ayers, to Reverend Jeremiah Wright, to Tony Restow and even his wife Michelle. One wonders if there are others ready to come out of he closet. He's still new to the public, and more you learn about him does not help. Does Senator Obama hate our country as much as the people around him?

Senator Hillary Clinton has never been accused of not having a lot of baggage. One big problem is her husband President William Jefferson Clinton. Doesn't that just make you feel good to say? The former President was a fantastic speaker when he was running for President, or as President. Now that he is playing second fiddle to his wife, it's like he has forgotten the correct things to say, and how to say them. Simply put, he's killing her! She's not helping with some of the things she says. Wouldn't you remember if you were really being attacked bu sniper fire? I've bee shot at, it's something you never forget. Maybe it was a very real dream. This false speaking (she "misspoke") is something that has been constant with her. For years she has told people about playing on the girls soccer team in high school. The problem is that the school did not have a girls soccer team at that time.

All the above, and more makes one candidate look even better. Senator John (Grandpa) McCain has been know well for years. I had to make-up a nickname for him, he has earned something nice. In all the campaigns he has been in the press has dug deeply, but nothing in his past has hindered him. He does not go around telling everyone that we need to fix everything with our country. Of course there are things that are always wrong in the US, every new administration promises change. That's THE word! Obama, and Clinton are out there promising change to give us all a better life. But take a look at their voting records in the United States Senate.

Both Obama, and Clinton vote with their parties over 96% of the time. Does that sound like they want change, or they vote with the party line. Senator McCain doesn't talk about change as much as his Democratic opponents, that's because he votes to do it. Senator McCain only votes with the Republican party 83% of the time. Going by the FACTS, which is the candidate of change?

The main appeal of John McCain is that he is not Barack Obama, or Hillary Clinton. Senator Clinton will soon go down to defeat at the hands of Senator Obama. Senator Obama has Eugene McCarthy written all over him, with one difference. He will get over 90% of the African-American vote. For a man that is running on a campaign of "bringing everyone together", that seems very strange.

John McCain is a "NATIONAL HERO." Barack Obama is an oratory genius. Wait until they debate, and the voters realize which candidate is best for America. Senator McCarthy was beloved by many, until they went into the voting booth.
