The falling darkness touched lightly on my face
The shadows darkened as the day faded away
The moon glow caressed me with familiarity
A nightingales song reached out through the darkness
The song made me smile with contentment
The warm night breeze tousled my hair
I breathed it in and tasted life
Another day in my life has passed
I look forward to my remaining days
And thank God for his blessings
