The Food Crisis is a topic for the ages, literally speaking. Again, the debate goes on, "how do we cure world hunger?" or "how to we make a difference?". It's a simple and yet, complicated question. This is not a issue that can be resolved over night. World hunger is a "world" problem. Nations and countries would have to be involved to possible create a solution for the entire population in the world. This issue at hand is influence and motivation. A person might ask - "why should I assist of help with the problem when I'm just a normal and simple human being?" Another might be ignorant and say - "I'm not hungry, why should I care about them when I have my own problems?" The only problem with a food crisis is that not enough people are affected by it.
Ask yourself if you are affected by world hungry. I would say that 100% of the people who are reading this are not affected by it. The point is that not enough people are affected by world hungry or by a food crisis, at least not yet. If we look at global warming for example, only are we now getting into gears and trying to change the way that we see and produce and manufacture products. Even though the changes that have been made is still probably not enough, comparing our efforts to the past 5 or 10 years, it's a big improvement. This is only because it is now clearly a scare and it is proven that global warming is definitely going to affect our lives soon, if we do nothing about it. What about the food crisis or world hungry for that matter?
Do any of us while reading Helium, going to Yahoo, search on Google, experience the food crisis? Chances are not because we have the resources to feed ourselves. Who are affected? It's the countries that we do not see on TV. That's right, American media censorship. The media is our channel to the outside world. Now if they do not want us to view or experience certain things in world, in this case, countries that is in a food crisis, they simply won't. There is no absolute doubt that there is a food crisis, however, exactly what are the effects? Not many people know about it. Are our children getting educated about the food crisis in school? Chances are, they are not. So who is educating us about the food crisis?
Take a good look at the media on the television. What are kids watching? What about the adults? What are they watching that so engrossing on the television? Chances are, there is a channel for cartoons, reality shows, game shows, sports shows, and a local news channel.
