Internet and its effects on education

The internet is the world's best and most efficient venue of education. Why do I say this? The time has dawn where the physical school may be a thing of the past.

Let us look at two areas of education - children and adult:

The internet boom is something where school children cannot do without. There is such a vast pool of resources available, being updated and upgraded daily, in all fields of studies. Take for example, the Britannica Encyclopedia. Where years ago, one would have to fork out a big sum of money to purchase a set of 20 to 30 volumes of such. Today, the same encyclopedia has gon online and with a fraction of cost, one can access to the latest resources available.

What about adults? Today, many adults, especially the working class, still aspire to study on to gain knowledge and further skills to enhance the secular career or own businesses. Many online education vendors are churning out a wide variety of studies ranging from applicable education to those of tetiary.
Working adults do not have the benefit of time to participate in classroom enviroment. Today, through the internet, one can choose to study at their own time and pace.

In conclusion, the effects that internet have on education is something that today's society have to reckon with. Internet have bridged the gap between studying and resources. It is something that no other venue can ever substitute yet.
