Just a Pitcher Away

We've been sitting here most all night
Waiting for the beer to kick in
So we'll have something to blame in the morning
Besides how lonely we've been

We're both members in good standing
I don't know what we're waiting for
Could be we're still thinking way too straight
Better order up one more

So let's have another round bartender
Renewed my membership today
I'm drinking at the down and out brokenhearts club where

The by-laws are very simple
Do what you need to do to get by
Support your fellow members through the long dark nights
And never ever let 'em see you cry

Rule that you gotta keep
Whoever gets up first to leave in the morning
The other one pretends to be asleep
