Deciding on what hair style to have on your wedding day shouldn't be so hard should it? Surely not, not after the endless magazines you have searched through, noticing every celebrity hairstyle, and after examining every woman's hair style on your way to work. And yet is it such a dilemma.
Let me guess, you want something original and different so that you feel special on your special day, but not anything too drastically different. And yet you can't find any styles that you would realistically go for that are original and different. Back at square one.
Although I can't help you decide on a final hairstyle, I can certainly help you come somewhere close.
The first thing to bear in mind is that if you like a particular style, no matter how many people you have seen with the same hairstyle, you are different to them. You're a different person, you have a different personal style and you have a different face. This means that either way, you will look original, so let's take the focus off the biggest hurdle, which is to find a unique' style.
Which one are you?
The Undecided One If you are completely at a loss as to what you want your hair to look like, here are some guidelines which will overcome the initial problems with deciding on a style:
1. Think about styles that you like, not necessarily ones which you think are different. If you like it then you will be comfortable in it. If you are comfortable in it then you will carry off the look with grace and confidence.
2. Collect pictures from magazines and the Internet so that your stylist can get a good idea of your taste. That way, if you are unsure, your stylist is likely to make suggestions that will cater to your taste.
3. Trial & Consultation's are perfect to use a basic style that you like and explore the different variations before committing to one.
The Slightly More Assured One If you are sort of' sure about what type of style you would like but haven't quite decided, then here are some guidelines that may help you narrow down your ideas:
1. A common mistake that people make is to decide on a style from a picture of a woman who looks great. After they see the style on themselves, they realise that actually, they have a different face shape, hair texture etc to the woman in the picture, and perhaps the style isn't as ideal as first considered. The trick is to decide what type of style you want and then leave the rest to the expert. Your stylist will be able to decide how the hairstyle can be adapted so that it compliments you.
2. Make sure that you have your outfit, accessories and any flowers etc in mind when thinking about your hairstyle. Different neck lines, colours and designs will determine the overall look that your hairstyle will be a part of.
3. Please always have a Trial & Consultation. It is too risky to not have one when on the day you have time pressure added to the fact that you want to look and feel great.
