The night has come to end, but what are you going to do afterwords? Are you going to go home and just go to bed or watch T.V.? Most people don't anticipate what they are going to do afterwords and often leave it up to chance.
Bring an extra set of clothes with you. Make sure that you have proper shoes and some other hygiene essentials. No matter what you are going to do afterwords you want to make sure that you are comfortable. Females, if you are wearing make up you are going to at least want to freshen your face, whether it be removing the make-up altogether or washing and refreshing the make-up. Sometimes something as simple as a quick shower can get your back up and running. After all, you did sweat a little from all that dancing.
Talk to your friends. No one goes to the Prom alone. We all meet up with friends there and have fun together. Make a game plan for what is going to go on afterwords. Do this before you get to the Prom so there isn't any wondering.
There are many things that you can do together and still have fun. You can all meet at one persons house and watch a movie. Rent a good one, get plenty of junk food to much on and you can even invite you dates to come over, too. Just make sure that it is okay with your parents first. After a night of fun you don't want to end it with getting in trouble.
You can rent a hall. Sometimes these are cheap enough to where each individual person doesn't have to pitch in anything, as long as the Prom committee has enough left over to cover. Even if they don't, it wouldn't cost much if you had to pitch in.
Most people have a backyard. Talk to one of your parents and ask them if you can have an after party in the backyard. If space permits, you can even have a nice fire to relax to. Hot dogs, hamburgers, or anything that you may want to eat would be appropriate to bring to something like this. It's cheap. Ask each person coming to bring something, anything to contribute to the food costs.
No matter what you choose to do afterwords, always make sure that you have prepared yourself before diving in. You had a long night at the Prom and the last thing you want to do is to make the rest of the night uncomfortable. Clean up, be creative, have some fun and of course, relax. Remember, the night should be fun. Don't introduce something to the party that you could get in trouble for. Keep it clean and alcohol and drug free; you will thank yourself in the morning for it.
