When -
When all else fails for me, in this troubled world today,
I think I'll just sit down, and to my Lord, start to pray;
When trouble comes at me, and it appears that no help's around,
Silently, I'll pray to Him, as I kneel humbly upon the ground;
When I give up, and am depressed beyond all comprehension,
I'll turn my fears over to Him, and give Him my attention;
When i learn all the things that I can humanly comprehend,
I'll place my trust and knowledge in Him until the end;
When my heart beats silently, and sings His Amazing Grace,
I know that my worries are gone, and my tears He will erase;
When I shout the words of you, that fill my heart,
I know that my Saviour hears them - that's the greatest part;
When my longings come back empty, and there's no one around,
Silently, and with humility, I'll reach up and gather of the Peace,
That He alone can gather - and fill the world around me;
When my troubles and fears begin to subside, and peace is within,
I'll thank my Saviour for my life, and silently, persistently,
Being the greatest part of that life;
When all these things have happened, the joys and even the fears,
Will teach me to Love Him, and give me wisdom beyond my years;
For with my Lord and Saviour, I'll have understanding -
And to Him - I'll give all the glory;
For He is the only one who can ever tell me what to do,
And most importantly in my life -
He Is the Only one who can tell me - WHEN.
