Poetry: Don't ask

by Natasha Mershon

Created on: May 08, 2008

Don't ask me why,
I will not say,
Don't look at me that way,
Or I'll turn the other way.
You speak I listen,
You lead I follow,
But not this time.
My heart is hollow,
For years I played your little game,
Your trophy, your puppet, all those little things.
Don't ask me why,
I have made up my mind,
I will not explain why I am saying good-bye.
