Living in America has it's good points and that is American food. There are so many American foods to choose from for instance, collard greens with ham hocks,mac and cheese, fried chicken,hamburgers and so much more. It is hard to choose just one.

I must say that my all time favorite American food would have to be that good deep fried chicken. In my life i have yet to find a person that does not like deep fried chicken.

I remember when i was growing up my great grandmother would prepare deep fried chicken for dinner while we were napping or outside playing. When it was time for dinner every one would rush and get cleaned up so we could dive into my great grand mothers chicken. She used a cast iron skillet for the best results. We could not resist seconds because it was just that good.

I also remember when i was in high school me and my friends would go off campus for lunch and we would go get fried chicken. We had to go to Kentucky Fried Chicken because Popeye's was all the way on the other side of town and none of us had a car. Once we got to KFC for lunch everyone would order the same 2 piece crispy chicken meal. We had to hurry because we did not want to be late going back to class and the only excuse you had to give to the teacher was the truth about you eating at KFC when clearly the teacher does not believe you.

If you were to experiment with deep fried chicken recipes you would be amazed at the results. For example coat chicken with spices, deli mustard and roll on flour shake off any extra flour and deep fry. Once you complete the frying process the finished product is mouth watering. It will have your family begging for more.

Most Americans worry about the high calories from deep fried chicken but you can even enjoy oven fried chicken. It taste great and has fewer calories than the fried. Now how great is that.

If you are going to buy your fried chicken from a restaurant the best place ever would be from Popeye's. There fried chicken should be sinful. If you have ever had Popeye's fried chicken you know what I'm talking about.

Fried chicken has been around for a long time and will probably be around for years to com. I know i will continue to enjoy all the deep fried chicken i can get my hands on.

I guess you see overall that deep fried chicken is my all time favorite American food. It was passed on from one generation to the next. It is very hard to decide where you want your chicken from or if you want to fry it yourself. I will continue to make my great grandmother proud by deep frying the best chicken that i can possible fry. No room for error only the best fried chicken have the best reviews.
