As a Christian man, with the threat of going to hell if I would deliberately commit suicide, I can freely say that because of the freedom given by my savior, that I am permitted the ability to not look to resuscitation to prolong my life. My freedom comes through my savior's promise that God would heal me and extend my life. I have the option of putting my future days under the tender loving hands of Christ Jesus and to have expectation of physical healing.

Many times my life has appeared to be terminal and without hope. If my mind was held captive by my carnal flesh, I might have decided to give up hope and expire or to resuscitate in hope that a medical discovery might be revealed to extend my days. Usually unsaved people are fearful of death because they have no faith of what lies behind the curtain of death.

Man's understanding of life is mostly limited to the here and now of our daily events. We rarely see the natural side and the spiritual side coinciding to make us a healthy living being. We tend to have a one dimensional vision of the who we are. The greatest problem that we as humans possess is not understanding the spiritual dimension and its control over our mind. It is our mind that Christ Jesus came to change and set free in order to lead us out of our darkened mindset.

It is my personal opinion that I have been put on this earth with a divine purpose and I will fulfill it before I depart. When I turned my life over to Christ Jesus, he held my date of earthly separation to Himself. His word says that if it is not my day for my life to expire, then no man can take it; also if my day of separation from my earthly body is at hand, no man can stop it. Our problem comes when we are put through a trial of testing to determine if the Word of God resides in us. If the promises of Christ reside in us, then to reject resuscitation is the act of victory because we have finally believed and put our trust in the truth of the Gospel.

The problem that most humans possess is we see things in a one dimensional status. Our failure to see the natural man and the spiritual man coexisting as one, has been a constant source of trouble. Our natural man is controlled by the brain, but what controls our brain?

We live under the illusion that our natural senses are derived in the natural. This is not denying that the flesh is not domineering in our behavior. The spiritual controls the mind and feeds us through sights and sounds as we eventually become brainwashed against the truth. The media both visual and audio feed strong delusion into our mind and takes control over the body. Being that there exists spirits of both good and evil, our life becomes a "tug-o-war".
Unfortunately for us that without the help of Heaven and the Holy Spirit of Truth to enlighten our mind and set us free, we are duck soup. Our flesh will not permit us to follow the good because the evil is much more fun. Sex, drunkenness and many other vices make our life comfortable and we are very practiced at being comfortable.

The school of life took me from death unto life. I rejoice because I am free to live life without fear of death and remorse for past harms that I may have committed, and the dumb things that I did to bring destruction on my body, that would send me to hell. The gift of Christ Jesus as Lord of My Life, gave me a new mind an d strengthened me to turn and walk away from my past. The Lord guaranteed me eternal life with Him. There is surely no deal on earth that is greater than that.
