When I heard that the guys behind the "Scary Movie" franchise had made a movie called superhero movie, I didn't know if I wanted to go see it at first. I like superhero movies in general, but I'm not a huge fan of the 'Scary Movies', so I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not. It turns out that, even though 'Superhero movie' has some of the same humor that the 'scary movies' do, it is a great time and almost funnier than the other movies. If you're into comedy, or if you just need a laugh, Superhero movie is there for you. This film will appeal to any audience, as long as the audience is mature.

The plot is as follows: After being bitten by a genetically altered dragonfly, high school loser Rick Riker develop super human abilities like incredible strength and armored skin. Rick decides to use his new powers for good and becomes a costumed crime fighter known as "The Dragonfly." Rick is in love with a beautiful girl from his high school named Jill Johnson, but he is usually beaten off by her boy friend. Rick decides to develop his powers, so he visits an X-men like college for super heroes, and tries to learn the ways of a crime fighter. However, standing in the way of his destiny is the villainous Lou Landers. After an experiment gone wrong, Lou develops the power to steal a person's life force and in a dastardly quest for immortality becomes the super villain, 'The Hourglass.' Rick tries to live his normal high school life, but (like Spider-Man) he is torn two ways. Should he save people from his town or be with the girl he loves? At an annual awards dinner, the Hourglass reveals himself, and the Dragonfly engages in an epic battle with his arch-enemy. Will the Dragonfly be able to stop The Hourglass and save the world? Will any of it make sense? Will you care? Will you be able to stop laughing? Well, you'll have to find out and see this hilariously good film to find out.
This film is filled with all kinds of gags, quick humor and entertaining stunts that will make even the least interested interested.
