My Red High Heels

No, I'm not talking about a country song, I'm talking about my favorite pair of shoes. You know, the ones that are completely impractical, uncomfortable, and make my feet sore the entire day. So why do I wear them? They add color to my outfit, and they make my legs look absolutely fabulous!

On any mundane day, you can slip into a comfortable, practical pair of shoes,(you know, the ones that are hand-me-downs from your great-grandmother!). And sure, you have a nice day at the office, and in the store you won't break your ankle, but does that make you feel beautiful and sexy? I bet not! So take a chance, put those feet into some REAL shoes!

Anyone can slide into a pair of penny loafers, but in order to add that little something to your perfect outfit, why don't you try slipping into a pair of sexy heels. Sure, they may be a bit more uncomfortable, but is that any match for that extra spring in your step or that cute little sway of the hips? I don't think so!

The other day, I put my feet into a pair of flat, red sandals. They were the most comfortable pair of shoes I owned, but they were...well, kind of boring. Sitting right beside them, gleaming in the light, was my favorite red heels. So, what's a girl to do? I put one foot into one. Then the other. And, all at once, my mind was made up-no comfortable shoes for me! No sir! The choice of the day was my red high heels.

I walked across the parking lot of a gas station with the confidence of a model on a runway, every eye was on me and my red high heels. And I felt great. I sashayed to the counter, gave the lady my money, and walked right out of there again. I don't even remember what I bought, but the feeling of confidence I had made everything brighter.

So, when you want to feel like America's Next Top Model, why don't you just slip into a pair of heels? You can just feel the confidence from the heels just oozing from every pore in your body. Suddenly, every aisle in the store feels like a runway, every person passing you feels like a judge or critic. And suddenly, the spotlight is on you.

It doesn't matter what outfit you are wearing, or the occassion, any item of clothing can be made into the perfect outfit by a single pair of high heels. Any place can be your runway. Any floor can be your dancefloor. Make a place your own, just strut right in there like you own the place, and be confident that you ARE the sexiest thing around.

So, no matter where you are, in the store, at the gas pumps, anywhere, you can walk with your head high and shoulders back, knowing that you are wearing, perhaps the most fabulous, impractical shoe in the entire place. You are the one who dares to wear heels on a rainy day. You are the one who will wear heels when everyone else is wearing tennis shoes. You, and you alone, are wearing high heels. Doesn't that make you feel amazing?

Happy feet are the sign of boring shoes.
