Why celebrities divorce so often

Split Up? Because they can.

I am not totally convinced that celebrity divorce is emotionally easier than that of the rest of the populace. I believe at their core, Hollywood couples are like many married folks who argue about, money, jealousy, relatives, and sex.
However, that said, I do believe what distinguishes them from us is the obscene amount of privilege they possess, as well as their lives revolving in a constant fishbowl. The scrutiny a celebrity must endure allows for a common problem to be directed toward a different result. Living under a microscope can no doubt become very conflicting to the ego. I'm just speculating, but one of the two might just enjoy the attention, while the other is turned off by it.

In our world I cannot tell you how many divorced couples I know who have split just as easily as a movie couple might. But I also know many who stay together for the sake of finance or children.
How often I have heard,"It's cheaper to keep her." Or, "I'll just fool around." And of course a very popular, "What about the kids?"
In the land of make believe money is certainly no issue. As far as the children are concerned I will surmise that there are more nannies living in Hollywood than in Queens, New York.
So, when two actors decide they want to split up, that their relationship has become dull, and they start romanticizing about a love story they may have starred in, they could react with the sense of entitlement they are accustomed to."I will do as I please." Maybe they have momentarily become attracted to another, accelerating the process to pull the plug on their current living arrangements.
There are not as many pitfalls or even repercussions for a celebrity to leave his or her homestead. No star is going to pay alimony or child support they cannot afford. Nor would they be strapped enough financially concluding they live in a basement apartment or drive a much older automoble.
Celebrities have another powerful advantage. It must be an awesome feeling to be able to forget one's troubles by flying off to some island at a moments notice. To not having the problem of immediate loneliness, perhaps easily falling into any wanton relationship desired. To get just about anything at the drop of a hat, just because they can.
