Remember that time your little one took his first bath? Did he make a silly face or completely hate every second of it? Do you remember how old he was, by chance? No matter how important memories of your children growing up may be, it is nearly impossible to retain them all. More importantly, it is impossible to hold on to those feelings. Thus, the importance of having a baby book. Not only do baby books hold on to those memories for you, but they help to keep them organized as well. The best part about baby books is that the options are limitless. You can purchase premade books from just about any store and simply fill in the blanks or you can make yours from scratch, putting as much as your child's personality into it as you want. You can turn it into a creative project or quickly add information as you need to. It's completely up to you!

BASIC BABY MEMORY BOOK

Want to keep it as simple as possible? You can buy ready-made baby memory books anywhere from Wal-Mart to CVS for reasonable prices. All that is left for you to do is fill it with memories! There are pages for shot records, all your baby's firsts, pictures, and just about anything else you might want to keep track of. It doesn't get any easier than this.

BABY RECORD BOOK

Baby record books are great for two reasons: For memory's sake and for medical purposes. Use a book like this to keep track of when each one of those beautiful little teeth grew in, how old baby was when she took her first steps, and how much she weighed at her last doctor visit. It is important to keep track of all of their immunizations and it is a great place to keep important papers like a birth certificate or social security card. Next time your pediatrician wants to know how you think your child is developing, you can have an easy answer with a baby record book.

BABY PHOTO BOOK

Why not have a baby photo book filled with tear-jerker pictures of your little prince or princess? Years from now, you can quickly reference each child's baby photos by individual books. You can fill them chronologically and add themes to each age. Once again, there are endless possibilities here.

ONLINE BABY BOOK

Nowadays, everyone seems to be doing everything online. If you are more of a typist than a letter writer, this may be the best option for you. Technology gives you the ability to add music to the background, make slideshows, and even add video. Pick the best website for you, or build your own. There are websites that allow you to build an entire website dedicated to your child or children- for free! Do some Google searching and be amazed at what you come up with!

PERSONALIZED BABY BOOK

Personalized baby books may be the most time consuming, but are also the most fun to make. Scrapbooking has become one of the hottest hobbies to have and baby books fit right in. Build a personalized baby book from scratch and turn it into whatever you want. You can add pages that most store bought books won't have, and even ditch the ones that you don't like. This would be the idea method for anyone wanting to make baby books for twins or adoption baby books. There is no specific theme to stick to and it can be taken in any direction you'd like. Why not combine a few ideas and use it as a memory book, record book, photo book, and baby keepsake book all at the time? Use a few sections to add things like the baby's hospital bracelet, the card from his baby bed, his first pacifier, or a lock of his hair. The end result will be a book full of treasures, both memories and material.

Make it impossible to forget a single thing about when your stubborn, temper-mental teen was a sweet, innocent baby.
