When Feathers Fall from the Skies
Some like spring
with rain washing things a new
returning birds from winter havens
Some like the summer
with the sun a blazing
splashing in the lakes
Some like the fall
with the colors flickering
dancing leaves to the ground
Some like the winter
with snow flakes twirling
creating snowmen on every corner
when baby birds leave the nest
they follow their parents
their downy feathers fall from them
as they grow
my favorite season is
when
Feathers fall from the sky

hovers unseen
upon desolate skies
waiting to be
