"Deep-rooted Contrasts"
First light of day to this southern gal
Elevates soothing and alluring contrasts
The silence of grass growing with radiance
Upon each spear signals growth while,
Rustle of woody branches with crimson
To cherry shades, beneath the wave of leaves
Repeats distinction and upon study,
Colors change to shine of a sort of sea green
Flecks of silver arrive as polish
To passion of blooms ablaze
And each living thing seemingly, gets lost in variation
For there is so much to witness
Oh! For a poet; one who could write a sonnet
Or an epic to profess difference
And give merit to each design; moved in its own worth
This climb spiritually, could convince by recreation
Of depth even of morning's fresh dew
Only, this southern gal offers an unsophisticated accolade
Tinted with native sincerity; with honesty given to each bloom
Where color goes from red to blush
And a wash out from a smoldering sunrise
Brings afterglow to distinguish even a hollow place
Ah! This fabric of creation simply brings to sight
Latent and dual gaps to agreement, as if to unite
