You are a "Chia Pet." Think of your hair as a plant. What do plants need to be healthy?
Plants need:
1. Nutrients
2. Water
3. Light
4. Trimming
5. Protection
Your hair needs similar care.
1. Nutrients
-Healthy hair requires the right diet. Vitamin A, C, D, Protein, and iron are all important parts of growing healthy hair.
-Weak acids will actually make your hair smooth and shiny. It was said that Jennifer Aniston put Aspirin (acetosalic acid) in her shampoo.
2. Water
-Your hair needs to be moisturized and washed. Too much water, however, is not always good. Use a good conditioner to moisturize your hair. Many shampoos are too strong and dry out your hair. Some people recommend using soap instead of shampoo.
3. Light
-Your doesn't really need light as a plant does, however, UV light can help your body to absorb vitamin D, which has been known to grow hair. Too much light will kill your hair.
4. Trimming
-You need to "prune" your hair. Get rid of split ends and keep your hair manageable. It will promote growth and keep your hair healthy.
5. Protection
-This is the most important point because it involves the other four points. Dying your hair or using other harsh chemicals will dry out your hair. Too much heat or cold is also damaging.
Hair is to protect your head, but if you want it to be beautiful, then you will have to give back to your hair. Hair is a living thing, and sometimes it has a mind of its own! Keep it happy and healthy.
