Salvation has to do with the redemption of mankind as a whole. Man was created by All Mighty God to bring glory to Him but with the fall(disobedience) of man from the beginning, there arose a "rift"-a separation-from the Great Creator, God. Salvation through Jesus Christ who is the visible cornerstone of the Christian Church-God's Church-is paramount to the saving of the whole world. Jesus is the foundation for all believers. No one coming before Him or after Him can make this claim. He is the Messiah, the Son of the Most High God; the Anointed of God; the Holy One of Israel; Seeker and Savior of all mankind. In Him, every prophecy has been, is being and will be fulfilled; and if we(the people of Earth) reject Him, we have no way of reaching our eternal Home of Rest. "For if in this life here on Earth now is the end, with no hope for a better life or a brighter future, we are men, women, boys and girls most miserable."(I Corin. 15:19).
Christianity then or salvation is in its truest form not a religion. Religion, for the most part, for most people is a list of rules, regulations, rituals, ceremonies, dos and don-ts, performances that people do to prove their piety(holiness). It's more of an outward thing rather than and inner thing stemming from one's heart on the inside of them. Salvation is a working from the inside out not just an outward show or manifestation just to appear to
be something that is not truly real. Salvation is not something done for show or to gain the applause of a man. It is an honest appeal to God, reverencing Him and honoring Him for who He is and for what He has done for us as His creation through receiving Christ as Savior.
Some consider joining some church, working on some board(usher, deacon, trustee, etc.), singing in the choir as proof that they are Christians or have received salvation. However, salvation constitutes a belief system that is not only believed but totally exercised in the daily lifestyle of the person
claiming that belief. Just going through the motions is not an option. A person must live what he says he believes. He must be a person of discipline not just talking. Works, alone, do not make Christians or constitute one's salvation. Having salvation or being a Christian means that each of us, individually, have acknowledged our need of a Savior and have received Jesus Christ by grace through faith in believing that He is the Only Begotten Son of All Mighty God by repenting, confessing, and forsaking sin(wrong) to do
