AWKWARD DISGUISE
Put on your silly mask,
such an easy task,
to confuse the day,
with night,
cause fright,
to oneself,
for who are you now?
unrecognizable features, leaving you apart,
distance strands us
an island for us all
without room to breathe
exhale
inhale
realizing that you can no longer recall this persons face,
familiar but un
the distance continues to grow
from friends and family alife,
and you think you are doing it
to save face.
