Understanding your Feelings

I've stumbled into the deep abyss
All sign of light is gone
I don't want to feel this loneliness
This feeling that I don't belong

When the water turns to darkness
And there is no light to be found
Perhaps its time to surface
Maybe try to turn around

Alone I know I will surely sink
For I am completely out of my depth
The ocean has engulfed me
But it hasn't taken me yet

I know these signs all to well
I've swam this tide before
Can someone please take my hand
And lead me back ashore

Alone I know I will surely drown
For I cannot swim a stroke
So please reach out a helping hand
With your help perhaps I'll float

I can't believe I see a light
The ocean has relented
It's released its grip and set me free
For awhile I almost surrendered

Then you came and you listened
To my ramblings and my ravings
Your counseling made me understand
The road is long but I'm worth saving.
