It is possible to have a summer that is stress-free in regards to your body image. First step feel good about your self. Second step dress to suit your own skin and body. Step three look after yourself. Combine all of these ingredients and what do you have? Someone who is comfortable with themselves and isn't stressing the small things in life?
FEELING GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF
Summer beauty begins with feeling good about yourself. As part of overcoming your body image issues you need to learn to feel good about yourself and to accept your body. Because if you don't feel good about yourself how is anyone else going to feel good about you?
When you look in the mirror instead on focusing on all the things you hate, change your thinking and focus on all the things you like, to start with this may be just one feature. Fantastic, that is better than nothing. Keep going and soon you will be more confident in your own skin. Stop obsessing! You are what you are, it is important that you learn to live with this fact.
DRESSING TO SUITE YOUR IMAGE
Now what is the one summer outfit that you always get compliments when wearing? What does it look like? What sort of fabric is it made from? What style and cut is it? What color? How does it make you feel when you get compliments?
When choosing clothing it is always important that you take your body shape and skin color into consideration. Always choose something that works with both of these. Also consider your age; something you wore in your teenage years would not be suitable in your thirties.
LOOKING AFTER WHO YOU ARE
Now lets look at how you look after who you are! What does your skin look like? Are you living a healthy lifestyle?
One of the ways to overcome body image issues is to look after you. You can do this by eating the right foods, doing thirty minuets of exercise a day. You will find that if you start to eat healthier then you will start to feel better as well. I'm not saying cut everything but healthy out of your diet, as long as you have everything in moderation you will be fine. Remember to drink plenty of water, due to the fact that your body is made up of mostly water, also to stop your body getting dehydrated. Finally get at least thirty minutes of exercise a day this is can be as simple as walking your kids to school, if this is realist to do
This summer stay happy and learn to accept your body for what it is. Choose outfits that look good on you and look after yourself. Remember to love yourself. Enjoy the long summer days, happy summer everybody.
