2008 Porsche Cayenne V-6 REVIEW
When I hear the word Porsche, I always think of a high end expensive car. I have personally not always liked the design of the car, but the 2008 Porsche Cayenne V-6 changed my mind about the design. It is a beautiful car which I would love to own. It's exterior is gorgeous and is sure to get a second, perhaps third look when you are driving this machine on the road.
Porsche has always made great machines and this fits into the family beautifully, this is probably my favorite Porsche of all time. This SUV is very classy both inside and out. It drives like a high performance sports car with the luxury and safety of an SUV.
When Porsche (made in Germany) first decided to make an SUV to add to their line, there was much controversy over it and people predicted it would not be a good move on their part. However sales of the first ever SUV from Porsche exceeded expectation and so the are adding a new one to their line.
When you place the two SUV's from Porsche together, you may not notice much difference. However the power of the new Porsche Cayenne is much stronger then the first one. It also has a different (not to drastic) front end then the previous model and the headlights have also changed a bit.
The first Porsche Cayenne was introduced in 2006 and the new model for 2008 is here with great features, safety and looks. They decided to skip the year 2007 altogether as they created the 2008 model. I think they were waiting to see how well the SUV did in the first two years as well as design a new beautiful machine.
The engine in the 2008 Porsche Cayenne V-6 is much better then the previous model and it is more fuel efficient then the 2006 model. You can choose between a manual or automatic vehicle whichever you like. The new model still has the great full-time four-wheel-drive system, complete with 2.7:1 low-range gearing the previous model had.
Of course the new 2008 Porsche Cayenne V-6 also comes with a hefty price tag of 44,295 starting price. It fluctuates of course the more added features you choose. The SUV is a beautiful machine and you will love to drive this vehicle.
There are different models to choose from and they are the following.
Cayenne - With a horsepower of 290, starting at $43, 400.
Cayenne S - With a horsepower of 385, starting at $57,900.
Cayenne GTS - With a horsepower of 405, starting at 69,300.
Cayenne Turbo - with a horsepower of 500, starting at $93,700.
With different models and prices you are sure to find the Porsche SUV you have been waiting for.
