How to find the lowest gas prices in your area

Gas prices, gas prices! Thats all everyone is talking about including our government reps. but not only are they not trying to "fix" the problem they are what appears to many people that they think war will get them oil. In which case it just makes OUR problem worse for us here. Before the war started the gas prices were reasonable, soon thereafter not only did our gas prices rise surprisingly high but so did our taxes. Some stories I have heard on the news and radio is that there are people making over $100,000.00 (yes thats right one hundred thousand dollars) a year and cannot afford gas to drive to work they had to take a bus. Well for those people i just have a few tips that might help you out. 1. stop buying expensive clothes all the time. 2. try not to go to fancy restaurants as much.3. definitely eliminate your credit card debt (i hear thats the biggest problem).4. For sure try to get a more fuel efficient car, a hybrid would be the best but a car not SUV. Another topic i wanted to touch on is about store gas stations. Sure they might be cheaper and more convenient but the quality is not as good as you might think. My family, friends and I have had many problems with store gas before especially the low grade gas. Apparently it has a good portion of water, yes water, believe it or not in it. I just recently (about a month ago) went to get my catalytic converter replaced on my car and afterwords the "check engine" light was still on, so the mechanic plugged a sensor reader on my car and it had a code lit for the gas tank. I had him check the tank (and by the way at the time all I was using was store gas) and there was a good 2-3 gallons of WATER in my gas tank! I'm not going to name any specific stores but your best bet is to stay away from them altogether. Gas prices don't seem to be getting any cheaper anytime soon so when you do drive don't speed, keep your RPM down, and if possible walk to work if its close or you can carpool. What i think NEEDS to happen in the near future is an alternate energy source for automobiles. I have heard of a "energy cell' car that you can recharge or replace batteries at refuel stations. I have even actually seen cars converted to run on frying grease. All in all we need a different source for vehicles to run off of. Think about it there would not be a war if we didn't rely on other countries for oil. We are "the greatest country in the world" so lets start acting like it. We need to start being self-dependent.
