Terrorism is not something new to other countries. There has been an ongoing social injustice war in Sudan for over 20 years now. People are being executed, tortured, starved, beaten, raped and mutilated on a regular basis everyday by extreme radical groups.
The US has been involved with terrorism before now in other countries. We do try to help where injustice and persecution is found. It definitely matters to the US what goes on in other countries as it allot of times will directly and indirectly effect us. It can effect our lifestyles, our economy, our work and our family.
Some would have us bury our heads in the sand and forget about the injustice and killing and hurt in this world. Some say we are "busy bodies " always tending to our neighbors business and not minding our own. I say hogwash to that as we had better be involved in everything that goes on around us. Let me give you an example and say for instance your neighbor's house is on fire, blazing out of control, and you simply turn around and go in the house and shut the door and watch TV. How long do you think it will be before your house is on fire and maybe six other houses in the block go up in flames and possibly destroyed if you ignore the one house that is on fire? Of course you will call 911 and run back outside to see if you can help anyone get out of the house. Do you really believe the other neighbors will say to you then, "Why didn't you just mind your own business?"
I heard a reading on a radio station a few years ago and it listed all the places the US had helped with money..the list went on and on for over 5 minutes. We have helped more people in the world and around the world with our money, or armies, and our resources than any other country or nation in the world. We have even helped the countries that fought against us at one time. Look at Japan, Vietnam and look at Germany. Go way back to England, they once controlled us, but no more and now they are our greatest Alli.
How dare we forget the rest of the world. When anything happens anywhere in this world everyone expects the US to do something immediately, and if we don't act like we hear and are going to do something right now today, we hear about it from every nation on the globe. We are expected to help others, we are considered the helpers of the world.
Why do you suppose we have an immigration problem, people are not rushing to try and get out of the US they are constantly trying to get in.
