In my dreams i see a boat,
upon a lake it drifts and floats.

I find myself within this boat,
seeking like all a little hope.

When all around an voice abounds,
booming words that cross the sound.

With what would you fill this vessel,
what would make you feel special?

To this i reply,
my family will dry my eyes.

In an blink they were there,
everyone for whom i care.

I see your heart the voice replies,

your still unhappy i heard it cry.

All right, wealth is what i need,
this and family, i believe.

Riches untold did i behold,
but even this couldn't make me whole.

The voice it question me again,
family and wealth yet you do not mend?

Family, wealth and friends i see,
this is what i really need.

Soon an island arose,
Paradise for all of those.

Sadly still i felt the need,
deep within my very being.

Boomed the voice once again,
with what would you fill the rend?

I don't know i reply,
can you hear my heart, it still cries.

With a loud whoosh it all disappears,
the voice it whispers in my ear.

You have but to look in your soul,
to see what will make you whole.

Then all is silent, calm and still,
i turn my thoughts with all my will.

When tears they come slow at first,
then a damn begins to burst.

All the longings that i had,
where but a longing for one man.

upon my knees i fall to pray,
oh lord it's you who fills my days!
