Poetry: Old souls

The poor old soul was sitting in his rickety old chair.
Too poor in spirit, too old in body to care in his despair.
Soul is never too poor, too old, or too young to unfold.
Soul is the real you waiting to take hold out in the cold.

Soul when allowed to soar comes out from its core.
Rest and let go of your oldness. Let boldness restore.
Soul is spirit enamoured love knocking on its door.

Love is from God above to love you more and more.

Soul is only you and soul is only me when I try to be me.
Old souls, young souls. Soul always remains soul's role.
Soul is never old. Soul is never young. Soul's only free.
The only old soul you know is you solely for you to be.

The old soul looked out at me asking me now to agree.
His message so old was still all new for me in me to see.
I am you and you are me. The only old soul is me to be.
Blood is thicker than water, but never thicker than love.

My old soul was not sold on its oldness as was I. Why?.
I needed not to feel old, but to be told to take hold.
Boldness is not oldness, and so to love my soul whole.
Old souls become young souls in a new bodies mould.

Love itself ages as much as it matures in your soul.
An old soul is an old lover true and through you anew.
Create in yourself a maturity of self. Love to love you.
Become an old soul with renewed vigour now overdue.
