We have all seen the infomercials about people that work just ten minutes a day three days a week and make thousands of dollars a month. We are told that we can do the same if we'll just buy their product. If we believe what we are told, making money online while staying at home requires you to have a computer, an Internet connection, and the simple desire to make millions, but does not require any actual work.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is making money online while staying at home is not easy. Just like anything else worthwhile in life, it is going to take hard work, dedication, innovation and at least a little bit of good luck.

Having said all of that, some ways to make money online while staying at home are easier and more lucrative than others. In most cases, your potential to make money online while staying at home really boils down to a few important factors:

1. Talent. To make money online while staying at home, you have to have talent. You have to be good at something. You might be a great writer, or you might be excellent at sales. It could be that you are an amazing artist, or that you have a knack for finding collectibles at garage sales and selling them on eBay. Whatever it is, you have to be able to be good enough at it to make some money online while staying at home. In other words, your product or service has to be good enough that other people, hopefully lots of other people, want it.

2. Hard work. We have all heard that we need to work "smarter, not harder." While it is important to be innovative and imaginative, making money online while staying at home requires you to be devoted to the task. You have to put in the time and energy you need to make things work for you. There is a direct relationship between the amount of effort that you put into something and the financial rewards you can reap from it. You won't get something from nothing.

3. Creativity. Something has to differentiate you from your competition. Adding value to your product or service will exponentially increase the potential for you to make money online while staying at home. While creativity alone will not make you any money, being creative in your endeavors will help push you over the top in the area of success.

Anyone who tells you that you can make money online while staying at home without much effort is trying to sell you something. If you really could make money online while staying at home easily with their method, why aren't they doing it instead of selling their ideas to you? While there may not be "easy" ways to make money online while staying at home, there certainly are plenty of feasible ways to do so with some talent, effort and creative thinking.
