Camping and how to get a good night's sleep

Camping and Sleeping, how it can be done?
The great outdoors, the absolute get away from life as you know, an attempt to remember the primeval times before jobs became your life and technology took the controls, and redirected life to a way seemingly fitting. The life that was once known seemingly so long ago was nearly forgotten.

Fortunately for each of us, the wilderness, the outdoors still often calls to us, memories taunt us in recalling those wonderful camping trips as a family so long back. In those experiences you did not worry so much about comfort, you made the most of what you had. The change of environment the freshness of the air in a campground made such a difference. Obediently when the lights went out we each retired to our respective sleeping bag and slept. You remember those time, those experiences? Wonderful memories last a lifetime if only in pictures as does tha habits early established in life.

The point being from what it once was, when you camped for the experience, has it changed today to where we each want to have the creature comforts of home even if we are in the bush? Has technology, convenience, made a difference in your life to a point where you could not experience camping as you once did simply because there are different views now, based on the portability of objects the decreasing of size and weight in the technology of the sleeping bags today. A society strung together through technology, the same technology that softened by convenience, when once it was roughing it when you went camping, literally?

While today, a softened society, figures a camping trip and just a break from the insanity of home, a break from the daily grind and all that life today entails. Often it seems they want to bring the home with them, everything but the kitchen sink you know. In the sense, that though they are taking a break from home, on a car camping trip you load up with the biggest and bulkiest, with air mattresses and the such. Certainly you will be more comfortable but really doesn't that seem excessive? Sure you could purchase a simple sleeping mat and put the sleeping bag over it seem simple, you don't need the felt covered queen size auto inflate do you? Besides it would probably be better for your back if you just use the pad on a relatively flat spot to offer a firm support for your back and a warm location to sleep. Leave the auto inflate mattress at home, your camping, not going to stay in a hotel right? Of course you need some type of insulation from the ground, just keep it simple, a sleeping mat that can be purchased at most outdoor stores will do the trick just fine. When a choice is made to camp, keep things simple, not excessive, though it is nice to have the creature comforts when you camp the objective is to get away from those things, to escape the grasp, believe it or not it has on you.

The nature of camping was initially to get away from life as you know, to go out and enjoy the outdoors, the trails, the vistas the journeys. To cook using a simple stove and to hike not on a deadline, to enjoy it. Consider when you go camping, there are only the bare necessities that are that important. To really get a good nights rest when you camp isn't it easier to just keep it simple instead of stressing over it? Camping is a vacation so enjoy it, a sleeping pad, a sleeping bag some food and a change of clothes what more can you need for a good nights sleep?
