in the lateness of evening
when all is now done
thoughts turn to you
and your words without pun
or grievance or other such thing
simply words that warm the heart
and the soul as well might be
all this though we are apart
far from one another on this day
my dreams are all aglow
with promise of one day seeing you
and simply letting you know
how much those words you speak
ripple through my mind
turning and twisting their way
with you not far behind
what is it that I wish for most
when all is gone from my view
all that mattered all there was
that kept me from one such as you
somewhere there is a star way up high
a star for you and for me
a star to guide us along
a path to our eternity
let nothing keep us apart
let nothing dissuade such aching hearts
let only the star that leads us
with certainty and with two parts
that part of you and that part of me
forever there shall be
in this place we now call home
two hearts the one is you the other is me

You want me to quit
smoking, drinking, overeating.
You want me to be good and
Beep
I hear you coffee pot.
I'm ready for a cup.
Beep
I hear you microwave.
My oatmeal's hot.
Beep
I hear you washing machine.

I HEAR YOUR VOICES
It started as a child,
I would wander wondering
between the stones.
